The average individual needs somewhere between 6 and 8 hours of sleep per night to function clearly and maintain concentration. With so much to do in a day, we were curious as to how IT professionals handle their sleep habits and, in particular, when the head off to bed. Because so many are able to work remotely, does that result in later bedtimes? It seems that it does not.
Most IT professionals usually hit the sack between 10 and midnight with only a handful burning the midnight oil. About 10 percent go even earlier than that with some calling it a day by 9 p.m. Must have been a rough day at the office!
Of course for some of these folks, the day starts early and the emails begin far before their regular workday. That leads to our next question: how early do technology service professionals start checking their email? We'll answer that one tomorrow.
